WHO AM I?
Victor Payton is a South Florida based photographer, specializing in underwater photography.
He feels most at home in a swimming pool, but when he's not under the surface you can find him in front of a screen, immersing himself in a world of digital artistry, indulging in his love for cartoons, gaming, and unleashing his artistic flair in Photoshop.
His journey into photography commenced at age 13, when he won his first point & shoot camera in a middle school reading competition. This ignited a spark that led him to delve deeper into the art form, ultimately pursuing formal education at the esteemed Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts. Here, he delved into the intricacies of Photography and Digital Media, enriching his understanding of both the craft and its rich history. When he joined his high school swimming team, he became fascinated with portraiture underwater and moved forward into capturing his friends beneath the surface.
Victor is a two time National Scholastic Art & Writing Gold Medalist and exhibited in Art.Write.Now.2016 Sheila C. Johnson Center at the Parsons School of Design, as well as the Boca Raton Museum of Art's Art on BRiC Walls juried exhibition of photography.
With a genuine passion for his craft and a desire to share his unique perspective with the world, Victor hopes to continue to do underwater photography and exhibit his work in other galleries in the future.
